Additional Confession Added For Year of Mercy
As we travel through this Year of Mercy, it is fitting that the opportunity for mercy and reconciliation should be offered as often as we are able to do so.
From Tuesday, September 6, through the end of the Year of Mercy, November 25, confessions will be heard beginning 1/2 hour before the daily Masses at Holy Family and St. Mary’s Monday through Friday by the priest who will celebrate the Mass. (This necessitates the priest leaving the confessional just prior to the start of the Mass so if he is unable to accommodate all the penitents, they will have the opportunity to return the next day or come at the regularly scheduled time of 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.)
At St. Mary’s, the priest will use the confessional designated for handicapped (opposite the BVM altar) and at Holy Family, the priest will use the confessional on the north side.
You are encouraged to continue to avail yourself of other activities / resources during this Year of Mercy to fully experience how our merciful God works in our lives. An excellent resource is the Jubilee Year of Mercy website: www.iubilaeummisericordiae.va/content/gdm/en.html
